Easily soluble in methanol and ether, hardly soluble in hot water, and can be volatilized with water vapor; phthalic acid is obtained by oxidation, which can be used as intermediates of medicine, photosensitive materials, pesticides, and organic pigments. Mainly used in the manufacture of hemostatic aromatic acid, p-formonitrile, p-toluoyl chloride, photosensitive materials, etc. It is used in organic synthesis intermediates and pesticide industry to prepare bactericide phosphoramide, and it can also be used in perfume and film film.
