Insoluble in water. solubility at 25℃ : 3mg/L in water, 800g/L in chloroform, 700g/L in xylene, dimethylformamide, 620g/L in ethyl ester, 550g/L in cyclohexanone, 500g/L in carbon tetrachloride, 120g/L in isopropanol, 100g/L in acetone, methanol, ethanol. stable to light and under melting point, hydrolyzed to bromobenzonitrile at pH>9.
