Basic chemical properties:
Light yellow low volatile waxy solid, melting point 45~46℃. Sublimation at 90℃/13.33Pa, vapor pressure is 1.9×10-1mPa(25℃). Industrial product has slight odor of oil ester, melts above 40~44℃. Insoluble in water. solubility at 25℃: 3mg/L in water, 800g/L in chloroform, 700g/L in xylene, dimethylformamide, 620g/L in ethyl ester, 550g/L in cyclohexanone, 500g/L in carbon tetrachloride, 120g/L in isopropanol, 100g/L in acetone, methanol, ethanol. stable to light and under melting point, hydrolyzed to bromobenzonitrile at pH>9.
Main Application:
It is mainly used for post-emergence control of broadleaf weeds in grasses, flax, garlic, corn, onions, sorghum and newly sown sod. Mixed with other herbicides, it can expand the herbicidal spectrum.
